Obedience, Faith and Role
Obedience is hard, especially in hard times and troubled times, but God is always there for us. He constantly tries to pull us close to Him in order to move us His way. He gives us truth and a reality that is bigger than who we are and what we could bring forward in one lifetime.
As I was reading through scripture, a small dove came upon my window, and oddly enough, I was reading through Leviticus 5. It was about sin offerings and what was required to be right with the Lord during the Old Testament. Then, at the end of the chapter, I read through Leviticus 5:17-19. It oddly sounds familiar because this was the same thing that Jesus did on the Cross. A self-sacrifice that is an atonement for “not knowing”, a chance for us to have a future where we could be one with God and allow Him to make us whole again. God knows that we would not be in the same situations in life, and yet He has given us a way forward in order to get to know God and be reconciled with Him and for His kingdom to come and His will to be done here as it is in heaven.
Have you ever been aware of yourself? Parts of you that want something, as if it was built into your soul. I think that was what Jesus was to us, a perfect representation of our priest and our Heavenly Father. He knows that His kingdom is not perfect and there would be things that need to be done, but He still makes a way forward for us to know and to believe and to hope that this future would be available to us.
