The Lord’s Winepress
An eye-opening meaning to what the winepress is and what is happening to the current world. True to who He is, God wants to test the depth of faith and how far along our understanding of His work and our appreciation thereof.
Isaiah 5 - As mentioned in my previous post, 5 looks like half a cup or a representation of a covenant.
Earlier today, I was directed towards this scripture. I found it interesting as it depicts what is mentioned in Revelation’s winepress of the wrath of God. In this perspective, they disregarded what God has done for this world. If we match that with Jesus’s teaching as mentioned in Mark 12, it directly matches what Christ has mentioned, and it becomes a repeat of what has happened before.
It is as if God has pressed upon His will onto the earth and directly challenges those who oppose His authority. Covenants can be broken, especially when not taken care of. This then opens up the opportunity to either challenge or take upon themselves the authority of the current holder of the covenant. It is a wake-up call and a gauge of where we are with regard to the direction of where God wants us to be. The harshness of the language of Christ in Mark suggests the gravity of the situation and the full responsibility of the workers of faith.
