Two Tunes

God being first in our lives is important. It gives us the chance to be aligned with Him and to have a chance to know the creator and for a chance for Him to know us deeper. This way, we keep Him in our hearts and not sin against Him.

When I was writing about Still Small Voice, I touched upon being attuned. Put it simply, language and words can be interpreted differently through time, culture, place, and our experiences. This can then create varying perspectives and diverse understandings, that creates discord. It makes it hard for us to understand and be aligned towards a similar goal. I think this was what happened in Babel, although they had amazing technology and multicultural acceptance, they started to be misaligned with God. In this case, God is supposed to be our tuning fork, for us to speak within the bounds of a certain context. Take the verse 1 Corinthians 13:1, upon which lips are speaking within the context of one.

Compare this with the tongues of fire, where everybody was aligned towards one spirit and one perspective that leads to a harmonious relationship where we speak life. This means that we know about Him and His world, and what He did, does, and will do for us if we are within His bounds. The Gospel, the good news of reconciliation and being under one banner. An alignment, a musical resonance that creates perfect harmony not because of us but because we have Him.

I believe that the day will come when all God's children from bass black to treble white will be significant on the constitution s keyboard. - MLK
