A Good Host
As His mercies are renewed daily, we also daily welcome Him into our hearts, even as we welcome others. He shows us how to be a good host in a world that is always searching and taking. He shows us how to give and how to receive those wanting to be filled.
As we daily proclaim Your great name,
Through Your wonderful scripture we accept Your grace.
Make us see how Your heart is the reason for all that we have.
Quench this weary soul through Your cold waters,
Give my soul food that could satisfy, words that are everlasting.
Comfort my tired heart, daily it is bombarded with hurt not of my own.
Speak truth, show grace, renew the way I see this world.
In Your hope, in Your love make this heart clean once again.
Turn this vessel into someone worthy to receive and worthy to give.
