A Merciful Lord
A prayer of mercy, this past week there have been two massive earthquakes in Japan and flooding in Washington. This is a prayer of mercy and faith, to protect Your people from harm and lead them back to true faith.
Lord God, have mercy upon Your children.
We have fallen short and could not match Your expectations.
You are the Lord of life and a God of infinite love.
Stay Your hands from what we deserve, and may Your grace fall upon us.
Lord, I pray for the people that have turned away from You.
Look upon them with a gentle gaze,
ready to accept and ready to clothe us with Your acceptance.
I am nothing without You, Lord. Cure our hearts.
Healing is what we need. Your mercy is what we need.
Let our faith be strong enough for You to acknowledge us in this sea of people.
May that single step of faith blossom and bloom into a wonderful array.
