All Kinds of Love
Each kind of love is special. Being able to differentiate between all of them helps us see how God has worked in the scripture and ultimately shows us that without His love, this world would cease to be.
Lord God, creator of heaven and earth, oh how great are your works!
And from the works of Your mighty hand, agape love is born.
The love that, if it didn’t pull through, our world would never come to be.
Through that love, You created eros in the form of Adam and Eve,
The love from which the bond of man and woman allowed us to form new life.
From that new life came storge love, the foundation of tribes and nations.
As our world became bigger and differences became more pronounced,
You have shown us philia love through Jesus Christ, who accepted us into one body.
Oh Lord God, I give You all the praise and worship,
because of Your love, we can live and love in the most blessed ways.
Fill us with that love daily, Lord God, satisfy these yearning hearts.
May our lives be a living response to Your precious love.
