Lost In Our Own Dreams
Sometimes our dreams may not necessarily align with what God wants for our lives. We can get lost and drown in the lies that the world tells us, and often times it pulls out the worst parts of us. A prayer to never lose sight of God in trying times and uncertainty.
Oh, how long must You keep me waiting, Lord God?
We suffer scorn that drowns our innocent hearts.
Our minds break, our souls torn, our patience grows thin,
slowly the fire in our lamps starts to dim.
How much should the world take before it is content?
We have lost our way, our eyes and hearts darkened,
Our words and our actions speak differently.
Are we too far gone now? Are we destined to be lost forever?
Protect our hearts, Lord God, bless us with cleansing water.
and if ever we got lost, I pray that You would draw us back to You.
