Old Ways and New
Reading through scripture helped me find Deuteronomy 17:10-12. The role of a priest is not an easy one, and I pray that anyone that has encountered the perfection that is in Christ will have repentance in their hearts. Makes me wonder if the old ways were any different from the new?
My Lord God, I thank You for this world that I am in.
More than all the things that are possible with You,
I offer You my gratitude and the trueness of my heart.
Lord, we are forever in Your debt. Help me to be a good steward.
Make Your truth abound, that even when heaviness is upon me,
I can overcome it and pursue what is true and what is pure for You.
Lord, bless those who have worked in Your name.
Allow them to be good conduits of the words that You have spoken.
If ever we fall, let our witness be the Lord that our repentance be heard.
For Your grace and love fill this world with goodness and drive away evil.
