Peace When There Is No Peace
There have been a lot of senseless deaths during this time. It is hard to be at peace when we don’t see peace. This prayer is a prayer of perspective, a small part of what You suffer daily because of us. A prayer that somehow things would move us towards the peace of Jesus Christ. May this prayer reach those who are grieving right now.
Lord God, You have shown me a small picture of what You endure daily.
A glimpse of the pain that people cause, the sorrow and grief of the cries that are lifted to You.
You bear all of this daily and yet You never cease to show us mercy and grace.
Lord God, I give You my utmost gratitude and I ask for Your forgiveness,
when we fall short and when we become the cause of distress towards Your body.
May You comfort those who are in pain and are afflicted, Lord God,
give rest for their weary souls that they may be renewed in You.
May You soften the hearts of those who cause us pain, Lord God, that they may repent and seek reconciliation with You.
Only You can change hearts, only You can transform our thoughts to align with Yours.
Grant us peace during this season, let hope be renewed, our hearts be one with Yours.
