Reliance on Your Word
When we rely on our own understanding, our prayers might not be in tune with who God is. The Spirit of the Word is the backbone of faith and what we believe in.
My world is in chaos, the pressing weight feels too much to bear.
Am I not fully reliant upon your righteousness, do I deserve this burden?
In your words mercy is upon me, the enemy is defeated and my soul rejoices.
Clear my mind from deceitful voices, guide me through your living Word.
Let the Spirit bring forth life onto each verse, show me that Your scriptures are complete.
I place each verse upon a scale so that Your truth is magnified from beginning until the end.
Create fragrance upon each turn of the page that I might smell the way towards Your heart.
May Your Spirit bloom into a wonderful array that leads me towards my destiny.
