Through this journey, my soul carries the weight,
each heavy step seems to consume my faith.
Your promises seem too far from my grasp,
how lonely it would seem for those who came before.
So deep my heart sinks when I come across,
a person who undermines your work on the cross.
Sometimes I think that it may be a fruitless endeavor,
speaking Your truth to the wind with so much candor.
Then once again You remind me of who You are;
Patiently waiting for all of us to come to realize,
the price You have paid in order for us to be reconciled;
To make known that You loved us even before we lived.
