Uncomplicated Prayer

I woke up last night to Psalm 134. It is an oddly simple psalm, not quite as short as Psalm 117, but it reminded me of the Lord’s prayer. Prayers can be simple and concise and yet have complete context of what it is to be part of God’s world.

Lord God, Your love for us is great indeed.

You give this love for us to supply our daily need.

Let my lips utter no deceit so I could stand before You.

Help me listen and hear the words as You speak through others.

Allow me to take part in You so that I could be whole.

Let all of Your precepts be done here, as it is where You are.

May all these blessings happen to us daily through Your glorious name.
