Upon War and Terror
Life is precious for it is a gift given to us from the Lord above. We do not deserve life, but because of grace, we are given it. We believe in the right reasons and in the right decisions, but there will always be evil within our midst. Keep us away from evil, Lord, and let your peace and mercy endure in this world.
Lord God, may your love guide us during these trying times,
upon us is death and destruction. Keep us away from these trying times.
Peace is a promise you keep for those who seek it,
may the people you have appointed be ambassadors of that peace.
Allow our hearts to have the same compassion you have with us.
Though things are out of our control, let there not be a need that is unmet.
Shine a small flame upon our hearts that it may be a flame that does not deny.
Protect those who are in the battlefront. Let no harm fall upon them.
Hear our mourning and may the prayers of their families and loved ones reach you.
Through all of this, let your love and mercy endure.
For you are our Lord forever, and we believe that through you peace is possible.
