Weeping and The Time For Remorse
Sadness can overcome us from time to time, the feeling of melancholy and meaninglessness, it makes us not want to pursue things and find meaning to life’s challenges. A prayer in the hope of God’s mighty work, and how it can once again bring life into an otherwise dead soul.
My heart sinks; my thoughts are in disarray.
How can this happen to my Lord, a man filled with compassion?
Is he now at the receiving end of a bitter agony?
Is there hope left for this generation? Is it all meaningless?
Will the next generation be purged into a raging fire?
Make it not so; place upon me your mighty hand, oh God.
Save us from the despair and hopelessness.
Make your light shine onto a new morning so that hope would not fade.
I am unworthy, and yet You give me something to pursue.
Allow my soul to receive its joy as it did once before.
