What We Forget
Our daily lives can be a mess sometimes. We could be going through normal, mundane problems and be oblivious to the fact that in the silent moments of our lives, the Lord God listens to us. God listens to us through our daily struggles, and even though we have yet to have an encounter with Him, He is gracious enough to move things and answer our prayers.
My day-to-day is a blur,
When my daily tasks take most of my day,
During the times that I forget to be with You,
Pull me out of the mire of this world,
Wrap me in Your presence so I am reminded.
That Your love for us is true and is forever,
And that even if this world turned against us,
We could always reach out to You.
In the sincere moments that I pour my heart onto You,
I pray that You would give me comfort.
Let my heart intertwine with Yours,
Allow my wants meld into Your wants,
Lord, I lay it all at Your feet, in this way,
I could live peacefully with those around me.
